Hard work, diligence, and being able to properly teach krav will always bet a better way than slamming someone else’s organization. Regardless of the organization students know BS sooner or later

Great that you are dedicating so much time, however, with any good workout you need rest periods as well. When you do your weight lifting are you just lifting weights or are you doing more “Krav Specific” type lifting, sprawls followed up by knees, medicine ball throws/slams, and cleaning up footwork with jump rope drills, etc… they key is not to over train but to smartly train for purpose. after almost 7 yrs in krav and getting to train with some of the best out there I have really tried and varied alot to the point where I have come up with my own personal system of workouts that helps my style of krav very well. Aggressive/burst with functionality. Basically do what works for you but don’t be afraid to deviate or improvise alot as well

Everything is going great. The family and I are anxiously awaiting to get up to alaska. Definitely going to shoot for a seminar around october/november to get the word out and raise some $$$ for equipment, etc… Also picked the name of the school but that will be a surprise once I get the name trademarked
All the best to everyone

I am glad there is alot of interest going about. I get alot of email at my 911kravmaga address. Keep them coming. Most of you that have emailed me I make it a point to email back answering questions that I am able. The only ones I cannot answer yet will be how much and where. I am currently depending on alot of you out there to look at either other martial arts schools that would rent me space once or twice a week. I am currently preparing for my brown belt instructors test in June. Any prayers or good lucks you can throw my way will be needed. John Whitman (yes the author of complete krav maga!!!!) will be doing the test and in that alone makes it a great honor. That and having learned all my krav here in San Antonio makes me very lucky.
Can’t wait to bring our style of krav to Alaska. (tough, to the point, yet fun) Definitely realistic

It should be a good day(s) of training for sure. Also we have some NEW (I repeat NEW) people for you and jeff to beat up on. So if you need someone to beat up on I can recommend a few of those phase A instructors that you and Pete worked with (LOL)
Seriously though definitely looking forward to working with you, Jeff and John. and also been training some BJJ as well. have to show you the Alfaplata submission hold (still in the testing phase) awaiting FDA approval.(LOL)

Yeah they hurt, definitely give you a realistic approach to training. Pete has used them a few times on us here in San Antonio. Definitely worth it

Hey Medic 1,
I was a 4N051 medic for 6 years and now a 4H071 Cardiopulmonary for the last 7. Done 3 tours in Iraq and had the pleasure of Attending both Basic and Advanced force training in addition to my Civilian Krav Instructor. Go to the law enforcement/military link on the main website. if you need any help let me know. I don’t know of any schools near keesler if that is where you are stationed. If your going to be attached with the army it is a definite plus to have that under your belt. Army combatives is definitely different mindset than krav. I won’t bash another system, but I think krav is very suited for what you need in a deployed location.December 21, 2008 at 9:06 pm #71870alfakravMemberRe: San Antonio
yeah it was great helping teach with John Pascal. You guys did great. Next time ask for the military version. (hehehehehehhehehe)
Anyone who has attended Military Force training knows what I mean

and if you ever had the chance to train with Ryan Hoover and Jeff Jimmo they really explain differences well of between sport fighting and street fighting. Not going to quote them, since Ryan has this thing with beating on me every time they come to the San Antonio center.
PS Ryan, Jeff can’t wait to see you two at the grand opening. Then I will be off to alaska in July/August. you two ever want to come to Alaska for hunting/fishing ( no snowmobiling…….) let me know, going to see if I can set up Krav there since doesn’t look like there is anyone out there currently teaching.
