Re: Purina diet
My husband and I were loading up the U-Haul a few years back, and struggling with cramming the last bits of crap into the van. A neighbor came out and asked, “Are you moving?”
Jeez.

quote downforlife76:Sweet… I have some photos of me I could send in. Is there much demand for calendars with pale, hairy white dudes with lots of tattoos and a beer gut doing Krav while wearing a speedo in a kiddie pool filled with Jello? I’m going to have to do some marketing research and get back to you guys.Gasp!!
I think I’m in love.
Please tell me you’ll also be wearing sandals and black socks!Back hair is also a huge turn-on.

Wow, RQ. This could’ve turned out a lot worse. I admire your restraint, especially in your inebriated state. Your inebriated spelling & grammar aren’t too bad, either! 😉
Kidding aside, I think you need a better class of friends. Do you really want to see yourself on “COPS” one day?

I occasionally get what are called “ocular migraines.” I get the weird halo thing (in my case, a sparkly light sort of like a laser-cut “dazzler”). First time it happened I thought I was having a stroke, since I lost my entire left visual field. I saw a neurologist (per an RN’s advice) and ruled out stroke and tumor. The migraines are a pain (literally) but fortunately rare. Mine tend to be brought on by stress… I guess a tough class could bring one on!

I’ve started keeping individually-wrapped, low-fat 1.5-oz cheese thingies in the fridge at work. I also keep almonds and dried berries (I love this blueberry/cherry/cranberry blend) and low-fat Triscuit crackers at work. Great when I’m craving something crunchy, but the little hit of protein goes a long way!

If he really is a nice guy, how ’bout offering to work with him before or after class on focus? Preferably on the bags, without your face in the way.
November 5, 2007 at 8:59 am #57520maskedkatMemberUgh – I hate mall shopping! Yes, online rules!
I can’t believe it’s almost that time… maybe I’ll do a sequel to last year’s Krav Maga Kristmas poem.November 4, 2007 at 11:57 am #57481maskedkatMemberOh, man. That is nasty.
November 4, 2007 at 11:52 am #57479maskedkatMemberDamn! You don’t get much sleep, either.
Seriously, you might want to consider substituting some fresh fruit for at least a few of the granola bars. Those things tend to be loaded with sugar and fat.October 27, 2007 at 2:25 pm #57284maskedkatMemberGood job, Lenny!!
Keep it up – I almost puked my first class (and a time or two since) but LOVE it!Welcome!
October 26, 2007 at 2:25 pm #57259maskedkatMemberI’ve only had one dream I’ve had where I used KM. I was in some really crowded club and Paris Hilton kept stepping on my foot. I told her to cut it out and when she did it again I started throwing elbows.
A few weeks back, I dreamt that I was looking at some kind of wild animal behind a window, and all of a sudden it lunged and I realized the window glass was no longer there. At the instant the animal lunged, my husband touched my hip – I flipped around and planted an elbow, which fortunately missed his head!
